Witnessing a Mediumship Breakthrough

There’s a moment that never stops giving me goosebumps and it is the instant a retreat guest realizes they’ve made true contact.

It might happen in the middle of a partner exercise, when one guest suddenly blurts out a name that means something to the other. Or they see a color, hear a song, or feel a presence so specific that it brings tears to both of their eyes. In that flash, everything changes. They know, without a shadow of a doubt , that they’ve just tapped into something beyond the ordinary.

That’s what I call a mediumship breakthrough.

At Nissa Retreats, we see this often. Guests arrive curious and open, but unsure if they can really connect to other realms. Then, during the guided exercises,  when they quiet the thinking mind and drop into the body through breathwork, their intuitive channel opens. They start receiving information that isn’t coming from imagination. It’s subtle at first. A word. A color. A memory that doesn’t belong to them. And then, when validation comes from their partner, something inside them shifts permanently.

That instant of confirmation builds enormous confidence. It proves what I’ve believed for years, that every person has intuitive and psychic potential. For some, it’s a doorway to a deeper personal practice. For others, it’s simply the start of trusting their inner knowing in everyday life including their decisions, relationships, and self-care.

Watching someone light up with that realization is one of the greatest joys of my work. It’s a reminder that this path isn’t reserved for the few and it’s available to anyone willing to listen, breathe, and trust what comes through.
