Day One at Broughton Sanctuary
What to Expect When You Arrive at a Nissa Retreat
Curious what the first day of a Nissa Retreat is really like? Here's a detailed look at your arrival, the opening ceremony, and how Day One at Broughton Sanctuary sets the stage for deep transformation.
Awaken Your Wisdom Within Retreat with Heidi Jaffe at Broughton Sanctuary. August 18-23, 2025
The Portal Opens: Welcome to Broughton Sanctuary
Day One of the Awaken the Wisdom Within retreat isn’t just about checking in. It’s about stepping out of the noise and into the quiet clarity of your own intuition.
From the moment you arrive at Broughton Sanctuary—the 3,000-acre estate nestled in the rolling hills of Yorkshire—you’ll feel the shift. The landscape itself begins to soften your system. Ancient oaks. Sacred springs.
A 16th-century estate that doesn’t just hold history—it whispers it, like a place that’s been waiting for your return.
You’ll exhale. And that’s just the beginning.
Here’s exactly what to expect.
The Journey In
Guests fly into Manchester Airport on Sunday, August 17th, where we’ll all spend one restful night at a nearby hotel (details shared privately post-booking). This overnight stay allows you to ground, recover from travel, and meet fellow retreat participants in a low-pressure environment.
On Monday, August 18th, we travel together by private van to Broughton Sanctuary. This shared journey is part of the magic—it gently dissolves the edges of daily life and creates space for something new to begin.
Arrival at Broughton
You’ll be greeted with refreshments, warm smiles, and the feeling that you’ve finally landed.
Take your time as you’re guided through the estate. Feel the stone beneath your feet, the stillness in the air, the sense that this place remembers what we often forget: how to listen.
Once you’ve settled into your accommodations (each room carefully chosen for comfort, privacy, and a sense of retreat), you’ll have a few moments to rest, reflect, or explore the grounds before our evening session begins.
Opening Ceremony: 6:00 PM
We gather in a circle—not as strangers, but as souls who’ve been circling the same truth in different lives.
Led by psychic and medium Heidi Jaffe, the opening ceremony is designed with deep intention. This isn’t a performance or a presentation. It’s a gentle initiation into the retreat’s core themes: presence, perception, and personal power.
You’ll begin with breathwork—not just to calm the mind, but to physiologically reset your nervous system. Breath is the gateway here. As you soften, release, and open, you begin to access a quieter intelligence within.
From there, we’ll move into icebreakers and intuitive orientation, designed to ground you in safety and connection. You’ll learn about the retreat structure, the daily rhythm, and the practices ahead—mediumship training, psychic development, energetic boundaries, somatic awareness.
But more than logistics, this orientation answers a deeper question:
What are you here to remember?
Why Day One Matters
This retreat is unlike anything else—not because it’s spiritual, but because it’s real.
The first evening is about setting the tone for the days ahead:
You don’t need to prove anything.
You don’t need to be “psychic.”
You just need to be willing.
Whether you’re here to grieve, reconnect, or discover what your intuition has been whispering for years, the first night opens the door. Carefully. Lovingly. Without pressure.
After the Ceremony
As the sun sets over the sanctuary, many guests describe a sudden sense of lightness. Some say they sleep more deeply that first night than they have in years. Others feel a quiet buzz, a new awareness stirring.
You might take a solo walk. Journal. Share tea with someone who just hours ago was a stranger. Or simply lie back and let the stillness wrap around you.
This is Day One.
A return to your senses.
A reintroduction to your own wisdom.
A beginning, finally, that feels like you.
Coming Soon: A look at Day Two—where the training begins, the messages get louder, and the sacred becomes unmistakably real.
